cthu1hu 2009-11-05 06:40 savini is a hero of mine, and night 90 was the first dvd I ever bought, a loong time ago.
cthu1hu 2009-11-05 06:38 haven't seen 28 weeks later, though I'm still on the fence with running zombies..

there's a commercial at the beginning but this scene + the theme song: "In a heartbeat" says it all
meanmechanics 2009-11-05 01:01 Night of the living dead, the 90's and the 60's VS are classics now. My favorite classics. Classic in the sense that zombies are clumsy and have stiff legs. My favorite zombie movies are 28 Days later and the sequel 28 weeks later!! the two are really among my favorites of favourite films. Carlyle, apart from being the second Scottish actor that can make buy a dvd, is really hellish! I really like the concept of rage and nervousness in the two
auto 2009-11-04 21:51 NOTLD 90 is awesome. I really like the way Savini changed the character of Barbara. He had some other cool ideas I wish he would have included if you listen to the commentary.
cthu1hu 2009-11-04 13:17 my favorite zombie flick is night of the living dead, the '90 remake. stay up until 4am and watch that. it's riveting.
cthu1hu 2009-11-04 13:12 that movie freaked me out as a youngster. I don't think it's aged too well though.

meanmechanics 2009-11-04 04:55 talking about zombies, books and films reminded me of a quote from the book of Wade Davis: Genius is the capacity for seeing what is not there. and this other one: Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. they are quite famous but only when you two started about books, zombies and films that those words came to my mind...together the excellent film of Wes Craven "The serpent and the rainbow"...the book has the same title
cthu1hu 2009-10-31 18:08 will probably get that book too ;)
