clearly you are insulting women herbalist, i am against such ideas, and i don't approve. yes i'm being facetious, because well ppl are morons. i hope you continue to put up "art" as it should be, a personal expression. |
OPPS I forgot to mention I was joking about the woman....thick headed thing. Serious I was.... I truly do not feel that way about women. Only bad thing about typing something is that Sarcasim is hard to get across. Well Damn it seems I can't uplaod anything without it creating some type of debate lol. |
WHY DONT EVERYONE CRITICIZE THIS GUY? fuck... leave him alone already. people have their own views and opinions. and get this... they just MIGHT be different from your own. im feeling winds of change around these parts... its starting to feel less like a style/screenshot repository and more like a forum full of babies who got nothing better to do than criticize other people (whom they dont even know) by overanalyzing every fuckin thing they do. |
Dude.. i think i might have styled this one ALOT different but overall nice work. I think its cool that your wife helped as well.. cause honestly ive been through three gfs since i found bb and not a single one even cared. Hope to see more! |
oh and before someone jumps down my throat.. the ALOT different thing wasnt a cheap shot or an insult.. it was simply a comment on how everyone sees such a different style in the same wall.. like i said keep it up.. looking forward to more. |
Hmmm, the red shade seems a little too saturated to me, at least in comparison to the wallpaper. It might look better that way overall, though - and it probably depends on your monitor's color settings, too. Say hi to Lori for me. ;) |
I agree with you "thewayofthezen" and also you Brian....The problem though I did this a while ago and since then I have learned a lot more about style making.. I would like to change somethings on butt my wife is happy with it and says NO lol.. So since it is hers and not mine. I choose not to make her mad :) |
Regardless of joking or not, in the grammatical context which you stated your "opinion," herbalist, you were not making a generalization anyway!
"but she is a woman and very thick headed."
Taken grammatically, this doesn't mean that all women are thick-headed, merely that she is: a) a woman and b) thick headed, but there is no word which dictates a causal or correlative link between the two, such as "thus, therefore" etc. as: "she is a woman and /therefore/ very thickheaded."
Of course, the fact that it denotes that she's an (a) woman, COULD contain "sexist" connotation, but since Herbalist didn't provide any such insinuation it is truly up in the mind of the interpreter (ie, reader). In that case, the fact that you came to the conclusion that "a) a woman and b) thickheaded" was a sexist remark, multifate, shows that you think someone being a "woman" is somehow bad, althought you apparently disapprove of such thought. Go figure.
Herbalist, you're in the clear. In fact, you can (if you wish) go ahead and make any comments you wish (as long as they are not illegal or in violation of the ToS).
Now, multifate, we've gotten along for quite a while, but I'm really surprised at this recent knack of yours at jumping down people's throats at every possible occasion. |
have u seen my taco? |
no, but perhaps that giant eye in the screenshot has! |
worf worf gimme bak my taco BIG EYE u dont have a mouth anyways worf worf! |
All of you. Quiet. NOW. |
freeb0rn: Nice analysis of Herbalist's grammar... ROFL!!!!! :D |
KISSES FOR MY DARLING qwilk!! i want him so bad ;P |
freeb0rn, do you take philosophy? That seems to be similar to what we are learning :P I am only in my first year of univ, so maybe I'm wrong :) |
As a teacher of English, I must disagree with your assessment, freeborn. While your logic is correct, the syntax of the sentence in question does in fact connote a relationship between gender and stubborness ( or perhaps the density of her cranium, since we're being literal). I don't wish to appear "thickheaded" myself, but I taught my last class of the semester today and I came here to view some styles. Please don't make me work. ;P Oh, and keep 'em coming, herbalist, and please invite your wife. :D |

~chuckles at Clove~ My wife uses Blackbox too, but she's not nearly as much of a 'computer geek' as I am (and I'm not really that big of a computer geek myself, so that alone speaks volumes in her case, lol) .. I've tried horn-swaggling her into making her own styles, but she's reluctant. ~l~ Don't know why.. |
Funny.......You guys are just Funny.....I showed this to my wife and she got a good laugh out of it. Too bad I can't meet you guys in person.......the conversations would be GREAT!!!! LOL :) |
Not necessarily - when we type stuff we have a chance to go back and edit it before we submit it. Of course, it would probably be even, erm, "livelier" in person. ;) |
It seemed like eveyone else was putting in a comment, so I thought I would too. =) |
