Nice...Timmy gets an A+ |
This BBinterface thing is turning into a monster. I can see the coder sweating in a small, darkened room, thinking to himself: "what have I unleashed upon the world? Blackbox used to be so beautifully minimal!" As drops of sweat trickle down his face, with shaky hands he brings a poison pill to his mouth... |
Thanks C_Bass.. And frantic, get over it |
Almost gives it a litestep look... Simplicity is the name of the theme I believe I'm thinking of... |
lol, yes a monster it is! qwilk pulled out his hair ;p |
lol frantic. that was definitely amusing :) but we all know users can do what they like. nightbreed, did u not detect any humour in frantic's statement? or am i just missing it from yours... we're all friends here. |
Nice media player Nightbreed!
Now if only BBInterface could dock plugins like the slit does :D |
Keep on sweating, Nightbreed. /hands Nightbreed a towel and a can of antiperspirant. |
Hilarious, frantic. All that stuff would "feel" like it would be using too much memory or processes - even though that's probably only a psychological thing. I'd like a script for a small, floating bar similar to GKrellM, though... |
why not just use wkrellm? works nicely indeed :) |
That's just nifty as hell, Nightbreed. And, as far as frantic's comment goes (as amusing as it was) BBinterface is one of the best plugins for Blackbox yet, in my opinion. A program that lets those poor unfortunate souls like me that have no coding knowledge whip together our own blackbox "plugins" |
Thanks for the comments folks. NC, Frantic, if I missed the intended humor, sorry about that. I'm so used to being in two modes when I post something. It's usually a thank you mode, or a defensive one. It'a abit difficult at times to read that from a post when you get the either-or. |
Thanks Reverend. Not only is it the coding aspect. For me, and Im sure with others, it's just fun to do. I get emails all the time from people asking the "how do I do this" and I just go with it and figure some way of making something work. Sometimes it's using plugins direct other times it's going trough source code to modify something to do what you need it to do. So by me creating interfaces I also set myself up with learning coding. |
NC: Something about the skins.. Can't remember now, but I got so frustrated with it I uninstalled it. It was probably just an operator error tho :P |
sorry for the OT in the comments.. |
yet again, I manage to bring controversy to the meek world of blackbox (: |
Not at all Frantic, I just read into it wrong. Sorry about that. |
and the meek shall inherit the shell... sorry couldn't help it... |
cthu1hu: what skins? |
To be fare, it may be because I tried some non-standard ones. I honestly can't remember why I got frustrated with it. one skin i was trying was "invisible". I uped it here for the heck of it (can't find it online). |
and by fare, i mean fair.. |
cthu1hu: that skin works great for me. maybe you need to get a later version. |
Some rumors:
a) BBinterface thing is turning into a monster. - TRUE
b) I can see the coder sweating in a small, darkened room... TRUE
c) ...thinking to himself: "what have I unleashed upon the world? Blackbox used to be so beautifully minimal!" FALSE
d) As drops of sweat trickle down his face, with shaky hands he brings a poison pill to his mouth... FALSE |
NC-17: arrggg! ok. /heads off to download it.. |
hmmm. i think the invisible skin is supposed to be completely invisible, except for the text. oh well, got some other nice skins for it. |
A monster it is, but it eats only (my and others) time instead of computer memory :-) |
